EVANSVILLE − We’re bringing you Tri-State restaurant happenings and food news you need to know. Here’s the latest.

Chefs on parade

Chefs on paradepart of The Southwest Indiana Builders Association’s annual Parade of Homeswill take place on Friday, May 31 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Four homes will host a chef who will prepare delicious dishes for visitors to enjoy the meal and tour the home.

Participating companies are Primetime catering, Bauerhaus catering, Jason Munoz Catering And Catering by Pappa Beer.

Tickets are $30.

Return of the Locust Street Lounge

The Old National Events Plaza brings back its pop-up Locust Street Lounge restaurant on Friday, May 31 from 11am – 2pm and 5pm – 8pm. The menu features appetizers including crab cakes, roasted mushrooms and ultimate nachos; dips and dippers; Wings; sandwiches and gourmet burgers and entrees including street tacos and flatbreads.

The Locust Street Lounge is located at 715 Locust St.

Grand opening of Pizza King

The Pizza king on Evansville’s East Side will have one big openinging on Friday, May 31 from 11 a.m. Stop by to check out the new Weinbach Avenue location and enjoy the purchase of a 10-inch pizza with one topping, free garlic bread appetizers with any purchase and a free half original strom with a 10-inch pizza with one topping.

Special offers are available at the East Side location only.

The East Side Pizza King is located at 1021 S. Weinbach Ave.; 812-476-4941.

Sammich truck from TT

Sammich’s from TT is a new food truck on the streets of Evansville and Newburgh. The menu includes burgers, grilled cheese, cheese steaks, hot dogs and brats, breakfast bagels and more.
