The IDF announced on Sunday the killing of a senior Hamas commander belonging to the terror group’s Bureij battalion in a nighttime airstrike.

According to the IDF, Saleh Jamil Muhammad Imad, head of the combat support unit within the Bureij Battalion, was among those killed in the attack in central Gaza. Several other Hamas terrorists were also eliminated during the operation.

In a separate airstrike, three members of Hamas’ elite Nukhba force, reportedly involved in the October 7 attack, were killed by IDF strikes.

In addition, the IDF confirmed that another attack in Jabaliya, northern Gaza, resulted in the deaths of three Hamas terrorists, one of whom held the position of deputy company commander.

Throughout the night, the IDF carried out artillery bombardments targeting a Hamas rocket launch site in Gaza, which military intelligence said was prepared to launch attacks on southern Israel.

In addition, fighter jets have attacked multiple locations in Gaza, including buildings used by terror groups, weapons storage facilities and other infrastructure. The IDF revealed that one of these buildings was hit after a sniper was identified inside.
