Celebrities warm up Miami during Formula 1 weekend

formula 1 roared into Miami this weekend, transforming the city into a vibrant center of high-speed action. The Grand Prix also brought some familiar faces and famous friends along the way. From exclusive gatherings to unique parties and pop-ups, here are some of the highlights Miami Race Week.

Major Food Group hosted the third installment of its soiree on the sand, “American Express Presents CARBONE BEACH,” from May 2 to 5, 2024. Hosted by MFG founders Jeff Zalaznick, Mario Carbone and Rich Torrisi, the four-night affair offered a reimagined twist on the iconic American Express CARBONE BEACH experience. Among the notable attendees were LeBron James, Patrick Mahomes, LL Cool J, Ludacris and Jimmy Butler.

Rich Kleiman, CEO of Boardroom, and David Grutman, founder of Groot Hospitality, organized an exclusive Boardroom x Coinbase Miami Brunch during the F1 weekend. The event took place by invitation, at Casadonna, a new Italian restaurant on the coast, and was attended by a host of stars from the sports, music, entertainment and business worlds. DJ Chase B provided music for VIP guests including Kevin Durant, Patrick Mahomes, Brittany Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Michael Rubin, Noah Tepperberg, Myles Garrett, Francis Suarez, Tay Keith, Alec Ogletree, Laremy Tunsil, Jordan Clarkson, John Wall, Anré Williams, Chantelle Jeffries, DJ Ruckus, Joe Wilkinson, Jordan Grant, Juan Toscano-Anderson, Matt Kalish, Charles Omenihu, Jarred Vanderbilt, Speedy Mormon, Ronnie Fieg, Patty Mills, Alyssa Mills, Jeff Hamilton, Will Makris, Matt Siegel and others.

NEON 16 concluded Miami Race Week with an extensive three-day VIP event at the Red Bull Energy Station at Hard Rock Stadium from May 3 to 5, where guests enjoyed a premier weekend of racing. This exclusive setting offered unparalleled racing footage and attracted celebrities, athletes, influencers and renowned DJs, including ‘Despacito’ singer Luis Fonsi and his wife Águeda Lopéz, music and TV producer Lex Borrero, reggaeton artist Arcángel and Red Bull Racing F1 driver Checo Perez, actor Jacob Scipio, football players Igor Lichnovsky and Israel Reyes, and NFL player Jordan Poyer. The festivities concluded with an afterparty at Medium Cool, hosted by NTERTAIN, featuring signature cocktails from D’USSÉ COGNAC and 1800 TEQUILA.

On Sunday, May 5, after Lando Norris won the Miami Grand Prix for McLaren, several celebrities headed to LIV Miami to celebrate. Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler was spotted in high spirits at LIV Miami and was greeted by headliner, DJ Khaled. DJ Khaled delivered an explosive performance with some of his top hits like ‘POPSTAR’, ‘GOD DID’ and ‘All I Do Is Win’. During his performance, DJ Khaled also introduced YG Marley, the son of Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley, to perform his new single titled “Praise Jah in the Moonlight”.
