May is one of the most anticipated months, with some of the biggest anime releases of the year. So, without wasting any time, let’s jump straight into our recommended anime series that should be on your wishlist.

Best anime: My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia fans, it’s time to glue yourself to your screens and binge watch Season 7, releasing on May 4th.

This season will focus on the newly introduced North American hero, Star and Stripe, and will feature the battle against All For One.

Released in April 2024 and still going, Whisper Me a Love Song is as charming and romantic an anime series as its name suggests.

It features a simple and sweet plot centering on the love story of two girls, Yori Asanagi and Himari Kino.

Yori, Himari’s eldest, impresses Himari with her voice from the very first day of school when Himari sees Yori performing with a band.

When Himari shares her admiration, Yori misinterprets it as romantic feelings. However, Yori soon really falls for Himari, which marks the beginning of a beautiful love story.

Best anime: Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer is entering its fourth season, with the Hashira Training Arc, and will adapt chapters 128 through 136 of the manga.

According to the synopsis in the book, we will see Tanjiro training to become a Hashira, a high-ranking member of the Demon Slayer Corps.

His goal is to fight Muzan Kibutsuji and save his sister Nezuko after the intensive training. In the trailer below you can get a glimpse of what Demon Slayer season 4 has in store for us.

After a hugely positive response from the community, Blood of Zeus has been renewed for season 2.

Set in the mythical era of ancient Greece, it depicts the exploits of Heron, an ordinary man who later discovers that he is the son of Zeus, the God. He then goes on a quest to save Earth from demons and fulfill his destiny.

Blood of Zeus Season 2 releases on May 9 and you have plenty of time to watch the first season if you haven’t already, as it only has eight episodes.

Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy will remind you of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and yes, it’s similar, but even better. It follows the story of Makoto Misumi, who is sent to the goddess to become a hero.

However, she finds Makoto “hideous” and sends him to another world with the ability to understand any language except human.
