JEE Advanced 2024 Exam City List Released, IIT Madras Adds 3 New Centers Abroad

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has rolled out the list of exam cities chosen to conduct the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced 2024) this year. In addition to the 229 exam centers in India, the institute has announced that it will conduct the entrance exam in three new exam centers abroad. These exam centers include Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Kathmandu.

Eligible candidates who have qualified for JEE Main 2024 and secured a rank in the top 2.5 lahks can apply for the JEE Advanced application form 2024 through the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. The IIT Madras started the registration process on April 27 and candidates have till May 7 to submit the forms.

It should be noted that during the application process, applicants must select eight exam cities of their choice in order of preference. Those who have already selected and paid the fee for centers in India will be given the opportunity to correct their center and country choices. In addition, candidates should note that registration fees are different for exam centers in India and abroad.

JEE Advanced 2024: Step-by-step instructions on how to fill the application form

Step 1: Visit the official website of IIT JEE at jeeadv.ac.in.

Step 2: Under the Important Announcements section, tap on the ‘Click Here’ button available under the title ‘Online Registration for All Eligible Candidates.’

Step 3: After clicking, aspirants will be redirected to the application portal.

Step 4: Enter your JEE Main 2024 application number, password and the security PIN shown to register.

Step 5: Fill the required details in the application form and pay the prescribed application fees.

Step 6: Scan and upload the following documents: Class 10 mark sheet/birth certificate, Class 12 or equivalent mark sheet, Category certificate, Persons with disability less than 40 percent and difficulty in writing certificate, Writing note, Compensation time request letter, DS Certificate, OCI, PIO Card, Foreign Passport or Citizenship Certificate.

Step 7: Once done, click the Submit button and save a copy of the application form.

  • Meanwhile, the JEE Advanced 2024 is all set for May 26. The JEE Advanced question paper will consist of two papers: paper 1 and paper 2. After completing the JEE Advanced exam, candidates can check the copy of their answers through the official website, jeeadv.ac.in on May 31. The tentative answer key will be published online by the institute on June 2. However, the feedback and comments on the preliminary answer keys will be recorded from June 2 to 3. As per for the IIT Madras, the final answer key and results of JEE Advanced 2024 will be declared on June 9.
