Nationwide campus protests began in Columbia in response to Israel’s offensive in Gaza after Hamas launched a deadly attack on southern Israel on October 7. Militants killed about 1,200 people, most of them civilians, and took about 250 hostages. Israel vowed to eradicate Hamas and has killed more than 34,000 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, according to the local health ministry.

Conde Nast threatens to create a scene

Members of the Conde Nast Union are also threatening to create a scene at the 2024 Met Gala amid contract negotiations.

However, the union had reached a provisional agreement with the media company @condeunion on Monday tweeted.

‘Our commitment to do ‘whatever it takes’ ahead of the #metgala2024 got the company moving and our progress at the negotiating table kicked into high gear,” the tweet said.

Protest against the Brooklyn Bridge

Last month, hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters stormed the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan, disrupting traffic in the area.

Video of SkyFOX showed protesters running up the exit ramp toward Manhattan, surrounding carts entering the city.

Once on the Brooklyn Bridge, we saw protesters beating drums and waving Palestinian flags. Torches were lit and thrown into the East River, SkyFOX video shown.

Police on bicycles later took the group to the pedestrian walkway. Several arrests were made. According to reports, the protests originated near City Hall in Lower Manhattan.
