Vikings: Valhalla Season 3: Release Date, Trailer, Where to Watch & More!

Vikings: Valhalla, created by Jeb Stuart, is a historical drama series made for Netflix. Stuart is also the executive producer alongside Morgan O’Sullivan, Michael Hirst, Sheila Hockin, Steve Stark, James Flynn, John Weber, Niels Arden Oplev, Sherry Marsh, Alan Gasmer and Pail Buccieri.

The first season of the series premiered on February 25, 2022, to positive reviews from critics and audiences. It currently has an approval rating of 89% on Rotten Tomatoes. Given the positive reactions, the series has now been renewed for a second and third season.

Vikings: Valhalla season 3 plot

The makers have only renewed Vikings: Valhalla for a third season. However, they have not revealed anything about the plot of season 3 as season 2 has not yet premiered and season 1 recently premiered in February 2022.

The premise of the series is set 100 years after the events of the Vikings, as tensions between the Vikings and the English royal family reach a bloody breaking point and the Vikings clash over their conflicting Christian and pagan beliefs.

Leif Erikson, Freydis Eirikdsottir and Harald Hardrada embark on an epic journey that takes them across oceans and battlefields, from Kattegat to England and beyond, as they fight for survival and glory. The series depicts the end of the Viking Age, marked by the Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066.

The previous two seasons of the show were released on Netflix. The third season will also air on the same platform.

Vikings: Valhalla Season 3 Release Date and Cast

The makers of Vikings: Valhalla have confirmed that the third season will premiere in 2023. Considering that the fourth season should be released sometime in 2024.

Coming to the cast, we should see Sam Corlett, Frida Gustavsson, Leo Suter, Bradley Freegard, Johannes Haukur Johanneson, Caroline Henderson, Laura Berlin and David Oakes in the lead roles. Since it will be a new season, we can expect some new faces.
