Ten/6 opens in Mill building

Offering brunch and things, Ten/6 has opened a new place in the new Mill building at 1705 N. Government Way (Suite 101).

The restaurant offers full-experience dining, an espresso bar and a room for private events. It’s open for to-go coffee and a takeout menu from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday. They take reservations and walk-ins.

Summit Sprouts opens in Hayden

Offering 35 years experience with “seeds to splendor,” Summit Sprouts has unveiled a fresh look in the former Judy’s Greenhouse location at 37 W. Wyoming (off Government Way one block from U.S. 95).

New owner Hunter Kennedy and his staff offer hanging baskets, vibrant veggies, dazzling annuals, enduring perennials and fruitful trees and bushes.

Rhino Linings of CDA expands to Hayden 

With colorings and custom coatings, Rhino Linings has a new location at 3721 W. Daugherty Loop in Hayden.

Jonathan Rivera and Gerome Mathis work on trucks, RVs, boats, trailers and industrial applications and manufacturing. They have mobile services for pools, ponds, decks and secondary containments with fabrications of miscellaneous materials, metal, fiber-glass and plastics.

Selkirk Diagnostics opens on Wayne Drive

A self-pay ultrasound and echocardiogram practice, Selkirk Diagnosis is now open at 8152 N. Wayne Drive in Hayden.

Whitney Barnett and Carrie Day offer medical and 3D/4D baby ultrasounds to create lasting memories of babies before they’re born.

Outer Limits opens May 10

Offering powersports gear and accessories, Outer Limits will open Friday at 296 W. Sunset Ave. (Suite 2).

Noah and Shantel Reaves and Tatum Pearson offer helmets, boots, jerseys, pants, casual apparel and gear for street bikes, dirt bikes, adventure bikes, ATV/UTVs and snowmobiles.

• Idaho Guns & Outdoors will open a new store in Athol on May 25. Check 

• With four branches in North Idaho, bankcda opened a new branch on Pine Road in Spokane Valley and will be opening another in the Five-Mile neighborhood. 

• A new building with Riverstone Dental as the major tenant is under construction at Prairie Avenue (1701 W. Prairie) and Ramsey Road. It should open in May with Riverstone Dental in the main level and two large suites available. Riverstone Dental also has locations in Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls offering general dental care. • J-U-B Engineers is planning a new office building at the Millworx development at 704 N. Fourth Ave. in Post Falls.

• A Chipotle eatery is being built near Bruchi’s on Highway 41.

• Locked In Escape Rooms will open in early June at 2502 Fourth St. Check

• Watch for a major change at Templin’s Red Lion Hotel in Post Falls.

• The complex being built across from Costco on Neider Avenue is for Habitat for Humanity.

• With a summer opening planned, four businesses will occupy the new building under construction at 264 S. Beck Road at State Line. With Garco Construction in charge, the places will be Wendy’s, Joint Chiropractic, The Man Shop and possibly Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop. Project manager is Michael Barr.

• A Fernan Farmers’ Market will be noon to 4 p.m. Sundays May 5 to Sept. 29 at Lake Village Lodge at 320 E. Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive.

• A grand opening for the new building at 8927 N. Hess St. in Hayden will be 5-8 p.m. May 10. 

• With the groundbreaking for new buildings for Grocery Outlet and 7-Eleven stores, North Point Plaza is being constructed in the northeast corner of Highway 41 and Poleline Avenue. Developer Jordan Wirsz of Corhaven Properties said more announcements for the 7-acre property will be coming soon. Five parcels remain in the development. Phone him at 208-834-1000 or check

• A food court project called Eats on Spokane Street is coming soon to property at the corner of Second Avenue and Spokane Street in Post Falls. Located next to Post Falls Brewing Co., it will open in the summer with a shed-roof pavilion with roll-up doors and restaurant tenants of Melfit Healthy Kitchen and Nachos Cantina, an indoor dining space and restrooms. It will host eight food trucks and offer live music, movie nights, cornhole tournaments, firepits and more. Check and check Instagram and Facebook.    

• HeatPraxia, previously at 404 E. Sherman Ave., will be at 1080 E. Lakeshore Drive in September.

• With an opening planned for April, It’s A Love Story Books & Cafe will be at 8927 N. Hess St. (Suite A) in Hayden. Tyann and Chris Bjorkman will offer a wide variety of romance books, coffee, bakery goods and seating for book clubs and events. Check

• Runge’s Furniture at 303 E. Spokane St. is remodeling and will add Trader Joe’s in about half the space.

• Buck Knives will be in Riverbend Commerce Park at 660 S. Lochsa St. in Post Falls.

• A new larger building for The Oval Office is under construction on Spokane Street in Post Falls. It should be complete this summer with owner Raci Erdem, general contractor Rob Harsh and architect Mark Latham.

• A Marriott Hotel will be on about a half acre at 602 and 612 E. Sherman Ave. The six-story hotel will include 131 guest rooms, 130 parking stalls among the main level and three levels underground, an administration area, a bar, kitchen, lounge, dining area, meeting area, laundry, fitness room and a rooftop patio bar.

• A new facility for Peak Health and Wellness Center is under construction at 4425 N. Fennecus Road in Post Falls. It will move in August from 927 E. Polston (Suite 101). The new place will include eight indoor and eight outdoor pickleball courts, strength equipment, cardio and group fitness, a kids club, juice bar, pro shop and full locker room.

• The Goodwill store on Fourth Street will reopen in the summer with a $3 million remodel.

• DOMA Coffee Roasting Company will open a cafe in the 3,000-square-foot main floor in the new building off the Centennial Trail at 3091 S. Atlas Road. It includes indoor and outdoor seating with views up and down the river, coffee, tea, local pastries and takeout. Owners Muir and Julia Harrison will open in April with hours 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. • The Marcus Anderson building under construction at 8182 N. Wayne Drive in Hayden has commercial units to be occupied by Ascent Counseling and Marcus Anderson Family Foundation (now at 8382 N. • The Thomas George building under construction at Third Street and Front Avenue downtown will be 18 stories. It will comprise 60 condominiums on floors 4-18 with garages, an on-site concierge, a 24-hour gym, golf simulator, indoor-outdoor pool and a lake-view community terrace. • The Appleway Quarter new building at 295 E. Appleway will have businesses on the ground floor and 24 apartments on the two floors above. Spaces are leased to 208 Massage & Spa and a tap house. • Watch for a new E.R. and Micros hospital at State Line.

• Opening later this spring, The Mill at 1705 Government Way is offering move-in specials for prospective tenants. The four-story building has 43 apartments with amenities of a prime location, a fitness center, a community clubhouse and a rooftop deck. • After more than 25 years in Kootenai County, Hayden Lake Physical Therapy & Aquatics is adding a new place at the corner of Highway 41 and Early Dawn in Post Falls. Check          

• The TownPlace Suites by Marriott Hotels will open soon where the Outback Steakhouse restaurant was in Northwood Center Court southeast of the intersection of Interstate 90 and Northwest Boulevard.

• With 100% wood-fired, Neapolitan-inspired products, a Cascadia Pizza Co. is “coming soon” to Rathdrum at 8083 W. Main St. (at the corner of Mill Avenue). It should open in the spring with indoor and outdoor seating, and take-out. Check

• With many options for food and beverages in an elevated space and on a patio, Rooted Social House is planned for 310 N. Spokane St. in Post Falls.

• A four-story 151-room Hyatt Place Hotel is planned for the Millworx development on Fourth Avenue in Post Falls.  

• Mountain View Business Center’s commercial leases for flex space in the new building at 9044 W. Prairie Ave. are all taken. More info later.

• Describing it as a “new product vendor mall,” Marketplace@Miles is under construction in the southeast corner of Government Way and Miles Avenue in Hayden. Spaces in a variety of sizes are available for retail vendors with additional onsite storage offered. It should open before the holiday shopping season. • A new facility for Bolton Law is being built at 2317 N. Merritt Creek Loop just off Northwest Boulevard on the east end of Riverstone. The new location should open in the spring. Check            

• Suites are leased in a new building at 2420 Government Way. Ranging from 898 to 915 square feet, each unit is a shell with a fully finished bathroom with tenants finishing the balance of the space. 

• Selkirk Sport will relocate its pro shop from 12037 N. Tracey Road in Hayden to 7878 Government Way later this year.

• Huetter Business Park, which is three flex industrial and office buildings owned by Etco Services, will open on Huetter Road north of Interstate 90 and Seltice Way. About 8,600 square feet and yard space are available in each building through leasing agent Jeffrey Simonds of Coldwell Banker Commercial Schneidmiller Realty at 208-518-8860. 

• Many commercial construction projects are happening between State Line and Post Falls. To see more precise locations, check the website by Matt Behringer. The businesses listed include a Circle K gas station and convenience store, a Napa Auto Parts, Wendy’s, The Joint Chiropractic and The Man Shop, Gesa Credit Union, Nutex Post Falls Emergency Hospital, Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen, Dutch Bros. Coffee, Taco Bell and Thai Bamboo. Other new buildings will include apartments, condos, warehouses and storage spaces.

• A new ambulatory surgery center is under construction by Northwest Specialty Hospital at 1624 E. Mullan Ave. directly east of its main campus at 1593 E. Polston Ave. in Post Falls. The 9,600-square-foot place will be used for surgeries that don’t require overnight stays and will have two outpatient surgery rooms with options for future expansion. It should open in early 2024. • With buildings of 168,000 and 238,000 square feet, The Pointe at Post Falls is at North Beck Road and Pointe Parkway. • A Gates Dental building will be at 2208 N. Merritt Creek Road.

• A new building under construction in Hayden is Lake Forest Interior Design (9245 Government Way). 

• A commercial building with three suites is being constructed at 9041 N. Hess St. (just north of Walmart) in Hayden. • A 20,000-square-foot structure called Prairie Professional is under construction on the north side of the intersection of Prairie Avenue and Ramsey Road. The office building will have suite sizes from 2,200 to 10,000 square feet available. A main tenant will be Riverstone Dental Care. • The PACR office building is under construction at 1857 W. Hayden Ave. All four commercial units are leased.

• An automotive service center will be built at 185 W. Clayton Ave.

• A large Farwest Steel Corp. building is under construction at Pleasantview and Seltice Way.

• A new pizza place will be in the former Syringa building on Fourth Street.
