Chelsea handed West Ham a crushing 5-0 defeat in their Premier League match on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

In the match, which took place at Stamford Bridge, the home team dominated from start to finish.

West Ham, with the talented Mohammed Kudus from Ghana, fell behind early on when Chelsea’s Cole Palmer opened the scoring in the 15th minute.

The goals continued and Conor Gallagher doubled the lead before the half hour mark. Noni Madueke added a third to leave West Ham reeling at half-time.

The second half offered no respite for Kudus and his teammates as Nicolas Jackson found the net twice to seal a resounding victory for Chelsea.

The win moves Chelsea above Manchester United into seventh place, keeping their hopes of European qualification alive.

West Ham’s performance was a far cry from their ambitions, with defensive errors and a lack of attacking threat evident throughout the match. The defeat puts extra pressure on the team as they struggle to find form in the league.

Despite the team’s poor performance, Mohammed Kudus put on an impressive personal show by completing thirteen successful dribbles in the match against Chelsea, becoming the first player to achieve the feat in the English Premier League this season.

At the age of 23 and in his debut season, Kudus impressed with seven goals and five assists in 31 games for West Ham United. His excellent performances have made him an important asset for London.
