Spaces open for PAC 8 summer film intensive for ages 13 to 18 – Los Alamos Reporter

PAC NEWS RELEASE

For the fourth consecutive year, PAC 8 has partnered with the Los Alamos Teen Center, the Youth Activity Center and the Fuller Lodge Art Center to offer the Summer Film Intensive. Open to young people aged 13 to 18, this 3-week program takes participants through all the steps in the process of creating an original short film: screen writing, camera operation, production planning and location shooting, acting, editing and many more. other aspects. of the film process. Students will write, produce and star in several original short films to compete in a statewide youth film competition.

The cost for the program is more than $1,500 per student. The suggested family contribution is $700/student. Scholarships of up to 100% are available, no student will be turned away for financial reasons. In 2023, the class consisted of an even mix of full-tuition students, students on partial scholarships, and students on full scholarships. The program is made possible by generous donations and a grant from the Delle Foundation.
