Baseball recap: BOLD Warriors fall to Springfield, Redwood Valley – West Central Tribune

MILROY — The BOLD baseball team dropped a pair of non-conference games on Saturday.

BOLD lost 5-0 to Springfield and followed that with a 4-2 loss to Redwood Valley at Irish Yard.

Andrew Peterson led Redwood Valley offensively in Game 2. He went 4-for-4 with one run.

For BOLD, Max Benson, Hayden Edwards, Emmitt Flann and Rylan Gass each scored a hit.

In Game 1, Springfield’s Noah Neperman pitched a complete game. He struckout 10 batters and walked four, allowing five hits in seven innings.

Max Benson, Owen Flann, Jack Kaiser, Hunter Malvin and Tate Sheehan each recorded a hit for the Warriors.

BOLD next plays Morris/Chokio-Alberta for a West Central Conference doubleheader in Morris at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Litchfield 13, Maple Lake 3

A 12-run fourth inning proved to be the difference for Litchfield in their five-inning victory over Maple Lake at Optimist Park in Litchfield.

Hunter Schultz went 3-for-3 with a run, a double, an RBI and a stolen base to lead the Dragons. Schultz also picked up the complete game win, striking out three, walking one and allowing two earned runs on eight hits.

Litchfield will play New London-Spicer at the Green Lake Diamonds in Spicer on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
