WATCH AGAIN AS KYOGO RESPONDS TO CRITICS

KYOGO FURUHASHI was at his determined and promising best with a double in the crucial 3-0 win over Hearts at Parkhead yesterday.

Amazingly, it was the first time this season that the Japanese hitman scored two goals in one match.

Kyogo had hit 16 goals – including back-to-back winners against Rangers – before hitting two trademark tries behind Zander Clark in front of his appreciative fans in the first half.

Before the match, I asked the champion’s mightiest marksman to demonstrate his killer instinct and distinctive sharpness in front of a sold-out crowd cheering him on. I highlighted that on this occasion Celtic Park could provide the perfect platform for the popular Celt to fire back at his critics.

“Go get them, Kyogo!”, I said in CQN yesterday and I was more than delighted with the reaction of the fleet-footed frontman.

THE OLD ONE-TWO…Kyogo Furuhashi races away after claiming the first of his double against Hearts.

His double – plus Matt O’Riley’s classy penalty – delivered a much-needed victory and pushed the champions six points clear of their nearest challengers as Philippe Clement’s side faced Kilmarncok at Ibrox in today’s 1pm kick-off.

Then all eyes will be on the east side of Glasgow on Saturday for the fourth derby of the campaign, with Brendan Rodgers’ men winning two and drawing one of the previous encounters.

Kyogo’s performance against the Tynecastle club took his goal tally for the season to 18.

And we know there will be a few more to come, right?

Kyogo’s standout performance and the efforts of his teammates are certainly worth a second look – thanks to those good people like Celtic TV Unique corner.

Enjoy it!
