Boniface scores 19th goal of the season in Leverkusen’s 5-1 win in Frankfurt

Victor Boniface was on target for Bayer Leverkusen, who continued their unbeaten run with a 5-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Sunday.

Boniface, who came on in the 61st minute, converted an 89th minute penalty to put Leverkusen ahead 5–1.

The 23-year-old has now scored twelve goals in 21 league matches for the newly crowned Bundesliga champions.

He has also taken his total in all competitions to 19.

Nathan Tella also came into action for Leverkusen, who was in the starting line-up before leaving after 72 minutes.

The other scorers for Leverkusen were Granit Xhaka (12 minutes), Patrik Schick, Jeremy Frimpong and Exequiel Palacios.

Next up for Xabi Alonso’s men is the home leg of the Europa League semi-final against Roma.
