Vanderbilt leads Ohio State women 4-3 in the second round of NCAA tennis

Celia-Belle Mohr defeated Ohio State’s Irina Cantos Siemers 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the deciding match to lift Vanderbilt to a 4-3 victory in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday in Columbus.

The Buckeyes (20-8) lost two of three doubles sets and fell behind 1-0. Vanderbilt’s Holly Staff then outdid Teah Chavez to make it 2-0.

OSU then earned wins over Columbus Academy graduate Shelly Bereznyak, Sydni Ratliff and Audrey Spencer before Vanderbilt’s Bridget Stammel defeated Luciana Perry to make it 3-3.
