Kotoko remains unbeaten in three matches with 2-0 win over Legon Cities – Citi Sports Online

Kumasi Asante Kotoko has registered a second win in three matches to extend its unbeaten run to three, after enduring a dreadful run to open the second half of the second half of the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season.

At the Baba Yara Stadium, Kotoko recorded a 2-0 win over Legon Cities to move up to 10the place in the rankings of the 18 team competitions, but remain only five points behind second place Nations FC (45 points) after 29 matches.

Goals from Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala and defender Nurudeen Mohammed in the 34e and 49e minute gave Kotoko the victory respectively.

After a dry spell during Kotoko’s dismal run, which saw The Porcupine Warriors lose six games in seven games, Mukwala has scored in back-to-back matches.

Kotoko had more goal attempts in the second half (five) compared to the first half (two), but created more dangerous attacks and all-out attacks in the second half than in the first half.
