Buffaloes and ZESCO continue to battle for the title while Queens Academy is officially relegated

The battle for the FAZ Women’s Super Division title remains fierce, with both challengers ZESCO Ndola Girls and defending champions Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club maintaining their good form.

Buffaloes defeated YASA Queens in the morning by a 3-0 scoreline, going 3 points clear, only for ZESCO Ndola Girls to equal the score in their match against Red Arrows.

Kabange Mupopo, Agness Phiri and Maweta Chilenga scored for Green Buffaloes against stubborn YASA Queens.

ZESCO Ndola Girls got their goals through Dorothy Daka, Penelope Mulubwa and Fridah Mukoma.

Elsewhere, Zanaco Ladies avenged their first leg loss to Nkwazi Queens as they defeated the Zambia Police sponsored team 4-0 at the Edwin Imboela Stadium.

Esther Simupamba scored a hat-trick, while Mercy Mwenya scored a goal.

At Independence Stadium, ZISD defeated Queens Academy 4-3 thanks to a hat-trick from Lungowe Namasiku.

Trident Queens increased their chances of survival as they defeated Police Dove Queens 1-0 thanks to a single strike from Margaret Mulenga.

Indeni Roses and Elite Ladies played to a goalless draw.

Luyando Foundation Girls needed a late goal from Catherine Mulenga to defeat Kamfisa Police Blue Eagles in a five-goal thriller played at Shamuel Ground in Makeni.

Queens Academy have been officially relegated from the FAZ Women’s Super Division, joining Chipata Girls and Kabwe Celtic Queens.
