2 Get life imprisonment in activist Narendra Dabholkar’s murder case; 3 others acquitted

A special court for UAPA cases in Pune in Maharashtra on Friday found Sachin Andure and Sharad Kalskar guilty in the Narendra Dabholkar murder case, while three other accused, Virendra Tawde, Vikram Bhave and Sanjeev Punalekar, were acquitted of charges.

Andure and Kalskar were sentenced to life imprisonment.

Dabholkar, 67, a known rationalist, was shot dead on August 20, 2013, while taking a morning walk on Pune’s Omkareshwar Bridge. Five people were named as suspects in the case.
