Jarrett Allen will play for the Cavs today in Game 7 vs Magic

The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without center Jarrett Allen for Game 7 of their first-round NBA playoffs against the Orlando Magic. He is out due to a rib contusion he suffered earlier in the series.

On Saturday, he was listed as doubtful to play in Game 7. When asked late Sunday morning during pregame media availability if Allen would be available to play, Cavs coach J.B. Bickerstaff said, “We’ll see.”

About a half-hour before tipoff Sunday, the Cavs officially ruled Allen out.

Allen will miss his third straight game with the injury. Bickerstaff has said that Allen took an elbow to the ribs in Game 4. Allen totaled 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting to go with nine rebounds in that game.
