Luke Marsanksis and Mackenzie Wilson earn conference titles on Day 1 of the America East Outdoor Championships

Baltimore, Maryland – The 2024 Outdoor #AETF Championships started on Friday, May 4 in UMBC with the 10,000 meters in both men and women.

Lucas Marsanskis led Maine and took first place in the 10k after a tight race with a time of 31:27.86. Mackenzie Wilson led the women’s team after crushing the 2018 hammer throw record. Wilson broke the record with more than 1.80 meters over a distance of 62.98 meters.

After day 1
The UMass Lowell men’s team leads the way with 60 points, followed by New Hampshire and Maine with 35.5 and 27 points.
On the women’s side, Bryant leads the pack with 41.5 points, while UAlbany (36) and Vermont (35) round out the top 3 for women’s scores.
