Donovan Mitchell confident for Cavaliers, Magic Game 7 Matchup

The season is on the line and the future of the Cleveland Cavaliers could be on the line. The Wine and Gold prepare to take on Orlando in Game 7 on Sunday afternoon in a winner’s match that could have huge consequences.

After Cleveland’s disappointing loss in Game 6, Donovan Mitchell described how he feels and what it means to play in a Game 7.

“I think those are the best two words in the sport, no matter what round it is,” Mitchell said. “All the things you did for six games really go out the window. It’s all about desperation, will, it’s going to be just like (Game 6). How do we find ways to stay ruthless.”

Fans are understandably tense as they see the Magic for the seventh time in two weeks. Orlando did a fantastic job of shutting down Cleveland’s offense and making life difficult on defense. The momentum has shifted several times in this series and it’s hard to say where it stands heading into the final game.

Through it all, Mitchell remains confident in the Cavaliers’ ability to get the job done on Sunday. He also calls on the city of Cleveland to support the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse team.

“I have no doubt that we will show up. I have no doubt that Cleveland will show up. I’m excited to see Cleveland in a Game 7. When I grow up and see the final matches and all that, it will be exciting and fun. As much as (losing Game 6 hurts), I’d rather have Game 7 in the cradle. So Cleveland, let’s do it.
