Flight operations at Shahjalal Airport will remain suspended for three hours from May 6 to 8

Flight operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport will be halted for three hours from May 6 to 8 due to runway maintenance work.

“As part of runway management, maintenance work will be carried out on the center lights and markings on the runway and their use will be temporarily suspended from 12pm to 3am for three days from May 6. All airlines and organizations have been duly informed,” Group Captain Muhammed Kamrul Islam, executive director of the airport, said on Sunday.

Kamrul also said that airlines have been asked to inform passengers in advance about any changes in their flight schedules.

“Airlines have already been asked to coordinate their flight operations and inform passengers in advance of their individual flights. The other government organizations providing services at the airport have been informed of the issue for coordination,” he added.
