National Supermarket catches fire in Hialeah – NBC 6 South Florida

A supermarket in Hialeah caught fire Sunday evening, sending dark smoke into the air.

According to Hialeah Fire Rescue, a bystander called 911 after seeing smoke coming from the back of the National Supermarket around 8:06 p.m.

The flames have been extinguished and first responders are searching for hot spots, authorities said.

Aerial footage captured a charred area at the back of the supermarket on Monday.

Fire officials said it was too early to say what caused the fire and that the Florida State Fire Marshal would investigate.

The supermarket was closed at the time of the fire. It was not immediately clear if there were any injuries.
